I’m a Los Angeles based TV, film, theatre and commercial actress driven to explore stories that either represent a very real piece of the human condition no matter how complicated or messy it might be, or stories that empower people to dream big and push themselves for a better life.

I went to college with the intention of learning about acting. Instead, after being exposed to every aspect of theatre including lighting, sound, set design and in particular costume design, I fell in love with the whole process. I found a home for myself, working as a lighting and sound board operator, props master, and went on to become quite the costume seamstress, designing and making 27 costumes from scratch in 2 and a half weeks for the epic final number in ‘A Chorus Line.’

After being sent to New York on a modeling contract in college and falling in love with the city, I decided to graduate early with a B.A in theatre arts and psychology from Virginia Tech, and pursue my dreams in the Big Apple. I was lucky enough to find the prestigious T. Schreiber Studio, where I spent 5 years getting the best training from the most nurturing and supportive teachers, in particular Terry Schreiber as well as Page Clements, Judy Garfield, Peter Miner and Carol Reynolds. I’ve immersed myself in a committed study of the human psyche and human experience, and now more than ever I strive to bring this insight to multi-layered, even if seemingly simple and naïve, characters. I’ve been blessed to work as a spokeswoman, commercial and print model for companies like Bowlmor Lanes and Chevrolet, as well as graced regional stages and performed in independent films.

My love for artistic collaboration was ignited in the 10 years I spent playing viola in many different regional Orchestras while growing up in Richmond, Virginia. I’ll never forget the feeling of being in the middle of a 250 piece orchestra playing Intermezzo Sinfonico from ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ (one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard), taking a moment to stop and listen to us, and feeling such a deep sense of pride for what we all were creating together. There is no better feeling to me than looking at the people around me and saying, ‘Wow! Look what we did together! We made something truly beautiful for other people to enjoy.” That’s what I hope to do.

I’m a girl next door with a bit of a dark side, who’s not afraid to be vulnerable and fight for making her dreams come true! As Jim Henson said,

“My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when I got here.”

And to me the best way I know how to do that is by living and telling stories about the truth - the complicated, messy, beautiful, dynamic, magical truth of what it means to be a person living this human experience. We are all in this together, and we all need each other to tell our stories in order to share, connect and comfort each other on this crazy journey. You inspire me with your stories, so keep them coming!

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
